FEELINGS AND EMOTIONS!!!
Emotional intelligence (Daniel Goleman) is the capability of individuals to recognize their own, and other people's emotions, to discriminate between different feelings and label them appropriately, to use emotional information to guide thinking and behavior, and to manage and/or adjust emotions to adapt environments or achieve one's goal(s).
Emotional development involves learning what feelings and emotions are, understanding how and why they happen, recognising one’s own feelings and those of others, and developing effective ways of managing them.
Considering this theory, feelings and emotions are an important part of our lessons. We work them in many different ways and singing is our favourite!!!
Según Daniel Goleman en su libro Emotional Intelligence, la inteligencia emocional engloba habilidades como la comprensión y expresión de los sentimientos. Por eso en las clases de inglés es fundamental no sólo que sepan las diferentes emociones en la lengua inglesa, sino también que sepan expresarlas.
En clase es indispensable desarrollar las cualidades de la inteligencia emocional porque favorecen el aprendizaje y mejoran el desempeño escolar, además de proporcionar a los niñ@s una vida saludable y feliz.

WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL!!!
We are back!!!
Our children resume their daily routines. The routines are very important because they give them a sense of security and help them develop self-discipline. Structure and routines teach children how to constructively control themselves and their environments.
In our English lessons we start singing, reviewing the classroom rules and praying. Then we are ready to learn much more English!!!

¡Ya estamos de vuelta! Los niñ@s retoman las rutinas de la clase de inglés. Las rutinas son muy importantes porque los niñ@s las necesitan para sentirse seguros y tranquilos
en su ambiente. Además, ayudan a los niñ@s a hacer el cambio de una lengua a otra de manera natural.
En nuestras clases de inglés empezamos cantando, repasamos las normas, rezamos y nos ponemos en marcha para aprender mucho inglés. ¡Bienvenidos a tod@s!

MIND MAPS!!
It is an easy and enjoyable method to get information into and out of the brain.
A mind map is made of words, colours, lines, and pictures. All these elements when combined together in a visual representation are very attractive to children. It captures their attention and motivates them more to stay focused on what they’re doing. Because they enjoy what they see it becomes easier for them to learn and to explain what they have learnt.
Our children love making use of MIND MAPS to explain what they know in English only in English!! And that´s fantastic!!!

Los mapas mentales son un método fácil y divertido de obtener información. Están compuestos por palabras, colores, líneas y dibujos. Todos estos elementos combinados son una representación visual muy atractiva para los niñ@s. Captan su atención y les motivan a concentrarse en lo que están haciendo. Como les divierte lo que ven es mucho más fácil aprender y explicar lo aprendido.
¡A nuestros pequeñ@s les encanta explicar en inglés lo que han aprendido haciendo uso de los MAPAS MENTALES!

ART & CRAFT
FINGERPAINT
Learning about the weather is funnier if you use fingerpaint!!! Our 3 year old children love using fingerpaint for everything!! Snowflakes, umbrellas, rain...
It´s been great!!
¡Qué divertido es trabajar con pintura de dedos! ¡A nuestros pequeñ@s les encanta usarla en sus trabajos! En esta unidad han realizado copos de nieve, un día de lluvia, paraguas...
¡Se lo han pasado genial!
MODELING CLAY
There is something very interesting about playing with clay. The tactile nature of clay lets children develope their imagination and their moter skills while having fun. Our 4 year old children have made numbers using modeling clay. Let´s use our fingers and have fun!!!
Trabajar con plastilina es muy interesante. Ayuda a los niñ@s a desarrollar su imaginación y a trabajar la psicomotricidad fina de una manera muy divertida. Nuestros niñ@s de 4 años han hecho números con plastilina. ¡Sus caras de felicidad lo decían todo!

How funny was this activity for our 5 year old children!!! Learning colors should be a lot of fun! Here is a way to make learning colors a magical moment!! They were very surprised of the result: It is gray!!!!
